Sean Nix

A woman with red hair and blue eyes looking at the camera and smiling. She has a coral colored necklace and a black sweater.

A Strong Understanding of Economic Issues

Sean Nix has been with Beers and Gordon P.A. as the Office Manager and Legal Assistant since its inception in the summer of 2009. She is responsible for much of the day to day operations at the firm, but she has long been that invaluable, daily interface with clients.

Sean earned a degree in economics from Duke University, then went on to work as a market research analyst/manager and retail buyer. After moving to Florida, she became a certified residential appraiser, which allowed her to apply her educational background to an expanding, professional resume. These combined experiences allow Sean to offer a strong understanding of economic issues, such as loss of earning capacity, involved in so many of our clients’ cases. They also give her a unique empathy because she can speak to clients without having to talk or think like a lawyer.

After growing up in the Atlanta area, Sean was married in 1991 and continued to live in Georgia until the family relocated to Oviedo in 2003 with their two sons. She has been active in the local Oviedo and Seminole communities in many outlets, including volunteering at all levels of primary and secondary education from elementary through high school, non-profit recreational sports organizations including soccer, lacrosse, and football, and through her local church. She and her husband are now enjoying their time together as “empty nesters”.

High Level Customer Service To The Clients

Julie began her legal career as a legal assistant in 2018 with a boutique law firm in Orlando, where she worked on the personal injury team, assisting with car accident, slip and fall, theme park accident, and medical malpractice cases.

After two years, she transitioned to filing class action lawsuits against big auto insurance companies. This involved drafting demands, requesting medical records and billing, drafting and serving subpoenas, drafting motions, researching and vetting experts for class action and medical malpractice cases, and assisting with mediations and depositions.

Prior to working in the legal field, Julie spent 27 years as a medical assistant, paramedic, and eventually an oncology RN. This background gives her special insight into the injuries experienced by our clients.

Peyton Scott

Invaluable Customer Service as First Client Contact

As an Oviedo native, Peyton has strong roots in the area, having only moved away to attend University of North Florida, where he graduated with a degree in business. During this time, Peyton started at a Jacksonville law firm as a receptionist and worked his way up to the position of paralegal.

After graduating, Peyton decided to move back to his now-thriving hometown of Oviedo and he has been here ever since! He joined Beers & Gordon P.A. in September of 2023 and has since proven himself to be invaluable as our case manager. When you call the office, there is a good chance that Peyton will be on the other end of the phone.

In his spare time, Peyton enjoys exploring Oviedo, rock climbing, and spending time with his two cats, Andrew and Oreo.
