Florida Turnpike / Car Accident Attorneys / Orlando Oviedo Winter Springs Sanford Lawyers / Beers and Gordon P.A.With every business, organization, and government operation trying to make appropriate accommodations for the health and well being of citizens in lieu of the coronavirus pandemic, even the Florida Department of Transportation has stepped up its efforts, issuing a new directive as of today.

To help reduce the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and to help keep toll collectors safe, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) will temporarily not accept cash as a form of payment for tolls. Tolls will still be required, but they will be collected through an electronic process. The change will take place starting at noon today.
