David Beers is the senior partner of Beers and Gordon P.A., an Orlando-based civil trial law firm. David has served as a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney since 1984, representing individual cases that range from serious personal injury to wrongful death. He is licensed to practice in all of Florida, including appellate courts and the middle district.
David is a 1973 graduate of Florida Technological University (known today as the University of Central Florida). He went on to graduate from the University of Florida College of Law in 1975, earning his Juris Doctorate, followed by a formal selection into the Florida Blue Key, long considered to be the oldest and most prestigious leadership honorary in the State of Florida. During his time at the University of Florida, David was a captain of the debate team, competing at numerous regional and national tournaments over three seasons. Once a student of Edgewater High School in Orlando, David eventually returned to Central Florida, served in two prominent law firms during the first six years of his career, then continued as a partner with a small private practice until 1998.
Representing accident victims while also accepting assignments from some insurance companies, David earned the highest AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell for maintaining impeccable standards of professionalism and integrity. During that time, he also achieved board certification as a specialist in the civil trial field and has consistently maintained that certification for more than 25 years. Out of more than 90,000 attorneys licensed in the State of Florida, less than 200 are board certified, proving that David is one of the most accomplished and prestigious attorneys in Central Florida. Between 1998 and 2007, he was the Chief Trial Attorney for a multi-national insurance company where he defended cases with millions of dollars being requested from the jury.
David has long been a seasoned professional, which led him to join with Jim Gordon in establishing Beers and Gordon P.A. in 2009. He continues to be an aggressive advocate for those least able to take on major companies. His practice includes cases of automobile accidents and truck driver negligence, products liability, negligent security, premises liability, and many other serious personal injury and wrongful death claims. David has handled more than 35 cases in the appellate courts of Florida, including three arguments before the Florida Supreme Court. He is unquestionably prepared, willing, and eager to handle your case.
