Fatal Truck AccidentsPosted on: January 12, 2020
Pulling from and expounding upon the data from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System of 2019 (FARS), a Phoenix-based law firm drew quite a few reasonable conclusions about truck accidents and fatalities. Below were some of their findings:
- Interstate 10, the major highway that cuts across the top of Florida and continues on to the Pacific Ocean, is currently home to the “majority of fatal trucking crashes.”
- Florida comes in third, behind California and Texas, as a state with the “highest number of fatal truck collisions.”
- Five of the Top Ten truck manufacturers involved in fatal crashes were from the auto industry: Volvo (569), Ford (459), Dodge (154), Chevy (132), GMC (125).
