Crossing Guard Tragedy

Crossing Guard Fatality / Motor Vehicle Accident Attorneys / Orlando Oviedo Winter Springs Altamonte Longwood Lake Mary Sanford Lawyers / Beers and Gordon P.A.Earlier this week, an elderly crossing guard in Kansas, known by those in his community as “Mr. Bob,” age 88, was killed by a speeding vehicle while on duty, though he was able to save two children before being struck. On Tuesday morning, Bob Nill was hit by a black sedan, just as he managed to usher two young boys off the road. The driver of the sedan, who fortunately stayed at the scene of the accident, had already hurried through flashing yellow lights, but did not appear to notice the stop sign that the guard was rushing to hold up.

As reminders go, our crossing guards give up their precious time to assist and protect children at intersections all over Florida and beyond. Please slow down when you near a school zone.
