Crock Pot Explosions

Crockpot Explosions / Lawsuits / Personal Injury Attorneys / Orlando Oviedo Winter Springs Altamonte Winter Park Lawyers / Beers and Gordon P.A.Picture yourself in quarantine. Nevermind that. Everyone is in quarantine. Rather, picture yourself making dinner under quarantine, tossing a few ingredients into the family crock pot and letting it simmer for a few hours, just in time for the kids to gather up and enjoy the meal you started in the morning. Except in this case, the crock pot exploded, and you got cut by the glass that shattered in its wake. Or you got burned by the steam that burst from the sudden and unexpected hole now opened.

For the makers of pressure cookers, 2020 has not been a good year, with lawsuits on the rise. On Wednesday, a suit was filed in Broward County against Tristar Products. Another suit was filed against Sunbeam Products after a similar explosion. And Sunbeam was already in the news by January after a family followed the directions for a chicken and rice dish that ended in second degree burns for a customer.
