Midnight Rider Case

Allman Brothers Band / Civil Trial Attorneys / Wrongful Death Lawyers / Oviedo Winter Garden Altamonte Springs / Beers and Gordon P.A.Florida has been the birthplace of music legends from Jim Morrison of the Doors, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and even Matchbox Twenty, who got their start in Orlando. But one southern rock group, The Allman Brothers Band from Jacksonville, earned enough fame, recognition, and accolades that an otherwise respected film director attempted to create a film about the band in 2014. The film ended tragically when Randall Miller, the director, trespassed onto a working railway where a train injured six crew members and killed one.

Miller served some jail time, but was released after a year for trespassing in Georgia, avoiding a sentence that could have reached up to eleven years. But the family of Sarah Jones, the deceased crew member, has filed a wrongful death suit against the transportation company, alleging that the train engineer failed to exercise as much caution as possible to avoid the accident.
